I just got an email from Scott Turner - The Spunk Lads are playing their last last show ever this Saturday at Freddy’s Back Room in Brooklyn - where it all started for the second time. You see, the band was originally founded back in 1971 in London but reformed in Brooklyn in January 2001 (I was at that first show at Freddy’s and nearly every show they played over the next 6 years) In fact, I was at the Southpaw “reunion” show in this video. My facebook photo was taken at this show actually…

Anyway, this is an important show to to go if you are in NYC. I know there is a ton of CMJ madness going on, but you won’t experience anything like this again. Trust me.
